2010 Conference Schedule

The SPR conference will begin with registration on Wednesday. This year, to mark the 50th anniversary of SPR, all members are welcome to attend the 50th anniversary dinner reception Wednesday, September 29, starting at 6pm. This reception will include programming to commemorate SPR's history through multi-media presentations and celebratory events. The scientific program will begin Thursday morning and will conclude on Saturday. All sessions will be held at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront.

The program will feature invited addresses by:

Stephen Suomi, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, will examine genetic and environmental effects on behavioral phenotypes, including aggression, impulsivity, and drug consumption in non-human primates.

Linda Spear, University of Binghamton-SUNY,  will examine how prenatal drugs such as cocaine and ethanol, along with environmental factors, can influence subsequent behavior.

Neal Cohen, University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign, is a leader in neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience and the study of memory systems, studying patients with medial temporal lobe lesions and more recently using multi-modal imaging.

There will also be symposia, poster sessions, panel discussions and pre-conference workshops.
