50th Anniversary
The 50th annual meeting of the Society for Psychophysiological Research will be held in Portland, Oregon, USA, on September 29 - October 3, 2010, at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront.
We will have an exciting meeting, with a wonderful mixture of science, discussion, and socializing. The meeting in Portland will mark the society's 50th anniversary, so we hope to celebrate this turning of age properly. The meeting will begin with a 50th anniversary dinner reception at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) on Wednesday, Sept 29, from 6-9pm, which will include delicious food and a brief program with fun presentations and remembrances. Please plan to arrive in time for this event.
To help organize the reception and other events during this special meeting, we are requesting the assistance of the membership to acquire and gather old pictures, memories, videos, and stories. Please submit these by using the special 50th anniversary submission portal in the Members Only section.

T-shirts commemorating the 50th Annual Meeting of SPR are now available for
purchase online! There are a number of designs and styles to choose from.
All shirts feature the official SPR 50th Anniversary logo, and each is
available in both men's and women's sizes.
To facilitate purchasing and help avoid currency conversion and

Bring Your Own Bag Contest!
To celebrate SPR's 50th Anniversary with style, we're honoring the pinnacle of conference fashion: The Conference Bag.
That's right, this year we're having a contest to see who can bring the most vintage, the most used, the most memorable, or any other one-of-a-kind conference bag (from SPR or any other conference). The two people with the most unique or special bags will each win a prize, given out at the business meeting. Bags will be judged by program committee members at the Thurs and Fri poster sessions, so look for the Conference Bag judging tables during these poster sessions to enter the contest.
To help with conservation, we will not be distributing bags as the registration give-away. You can re-use the bag you bring or swap with a colleague for one more appealing. For those with more than one conference bag hiding in your closet, bring as many as you want. We'll have a bin in the registration area for you to donate your collection to folks who haven't been around long enough to start their own collection.
Only canvas or fabric bags are eligible for donating or entering into the contest (no plastic shopping bags allowed).
