2020 Call for Abstracts Recently, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver, site of the 2020 Annual Meeting, contacted SPR about new re-opening guidelines issued by British Columbia (BC) in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These reopening guidelines make it impossible for SPR to hold our Annual Meeting in British Columbia as they call for conventions proceeding only after identification of a successful vaccine, community immunity has been achieved, or broad successful treatments have been implemented. That has caused the SPR Board of Directors to cancel the face-to-face Annual Meeting for 2020. We do anticipate having a virtual poster session, so please submit your abstracts and encourage your trainees to submit as well. The poster abstract submission deadline has been extended to June 5, 2020. We are considering how to handle other aspects of the meeting and will be back in touch with the membership once a plan is in place. To that effect, we invite you to prepare and submit abstract(s) in the usual fashion. We encourage you to submit your abstracts and we will honor your intentions to best of our ability.
