Now Accepting Self-Nominations for Ad Hoc Vendor Relations, Ethical Principles, and Convention Site Committees
Hello SPR members,
We are currently seeking nominations for membership on the Ad Hoc Vendor Relations Committee, Ethical Principles Committee and the Convention Site Committee. These are vital roles that help shape the future of SPR and uphold the values of our scientific community. We are seeking nominations for terms beginning immediately with a term ending in 2028. SPR is committed to supporting a diverse membership.
The SPR Ethical Principles Committee plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our field. It reports to the Board with recommendations on standards of conduct for psychophysiology professionals, reviews ethically relevant issues, and formulates public positions. The committee may also develop general guidelines for ethical conduct to help ensure our community operates with transparency and responsibility.
The SPR Convention Site Committee is essential for the planning and success of SPR’s annual conventions. Members recommend future convention sites, identify suitable hotels, and propose logistical arrangements. Their work directly impacts the accessibility, quality, and experience of our gatherings making it a key part of SPR’s outreach and engagement.
The SPR Ad Hoc Vendor Relations Committee will help expand the Society’s connections with vendors, particularly those developing products that are increasingly appearing in the research space (e.g. Consumer-targeted wearables). This will help create opportunities within the annual program to facilitate partnerships between the Society and product developers though potential research collaborations and employment pipelines.
