When you join SPR, you join an international community of more than 800 members focused on studying the interrelationships between the psychological and physiological aspects of behavior.
A student/post-bac/postdoc membership affords you all the benefits of a professional membership, but also includes additional opportunities tailored for those working to complete their education. Through specialized programs, grants and awards, a membership will help you build a strong career foundation.
SPR membership gives you access to invaluable information and provides the opportunity to network with psychophysiological experts. Through association publications, events, professional development opportunities and awards and grants programs, a professional membership will help you enhance your career.
SPR offers full membership and student membership opportunities.
Full membership may be granted to individuals who meet one of the following qualifications:
To qualify for student membership, applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or predoctoral program in psychophysiology or a related area. Student status must be certified annually by the student’s department chair or program director. Student memberships are subsidized by SPR. Post-Bac membership applicants are those holding a bachelor’s degree, but are not currently enrolled in an graduate degree program. Applicants of the Post-Bac category will be eligible to claim this membership status for up to five years.
Early Career membership is available to those who received their doctoral or other degree within the past five years.
Each new member application is reviewed and accepted by the membership committee before the individual becomes an SPR member.
