Post-baccalaureate Research Assistant
The Development of Mind and Emotions Lab, directed by Dr. Rebecca Brooker in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University, is hiring a Full-time Post baccalaureate Research Assistant to be part of a NIAAA funded study of maternal identity, parenting, and neural correlates of risky alcohol use in mothers of toddlers.
Responsibilities include participant recruitment, recruiting and training undergraduate research assistants, scheduling and staffing laboratory visits, conducting laboratory visits with community families, maintaining contact with participants for follow-up, overseeing data coding and entry, and helping with data management. Opportunities will be available to learn statistical analysis and scientific writing if desired. Salary begins at $45,000 per year and will include full-time benefits. The position begins as soon as possible.
Necessary qualifications include a BS/BA in psychology, human development, neuroscience or related field and the ability to lift/move medium-weight objects. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years experience in human-subjects research and Spanish language fluency.
